Goodies in the Mail!!
I received my samples from Inaz Pigments and Antoinette's Revolution along with soaps from Zaja Naturals. Details to come!
What I'm Wearing: Scaredy Cat Cosmetics
Hot out of the mail carrier's hands...my package from Etsy seller ScaredyCat Cosmetics!
After reading some favorable reviews I decided to give them a go. The Etsy site is straightforward and easy to navigate. There is a nice variety of very pretty colors to choose from. Each listing has a photo of the product with the jar as well as a photo of the product applied to an eye. Three gram jars are $5.00 each or 6 for $25.00 (like getting one free!) and hold 1.5-2 grams of product. Each color has it's own uber adorable custom designed label. Samples come in cute little glass vials and hold about 1/4 teaspoon. They are 5 for $5.00 or 10 for $10.00. I went with the 6 for $25.00 listing...and then took forever to choose my colors. I am so indecisive that way...
I finally decided on: Tide Me Over, Dee's Nuts (the name alone made it irresistible!), Unicorn Breath, Snow Bird, Rose Gold, and Teal Deer. I placed my order March 18th and it arrived March 23rd. Gotta love that!
Swatches (left to right) over Orglamix primer (yes, I know...I'm still waiting on my Concrete Minerals primer, and this was all I had!): Tide Me Over, Dee's Nuts, Unicorn Breath, Snow Bird, Rose Gold, Teal Deer.
Tide Me Over: Sparkly, silvery aqua. Gorgeous!
Dee's Nuts: I thought this was going to be more of a lighter taupe brown like the picture on the Etsy listing. It's definitely more of a rich brown with a nice sheen and a little sparkle. Not what I was expecting, but still nice.
Unicorn Breath: A sheer sparkly white. Great as a highlighter!
Snow Bird:A nice medium blue with lots of sparkle.
Rose Gold: A beautiful, golden, peachy pink. One of my favorites!
Teal Deer: A soft teal blue with sparkle.
On my eyes: Snow Bird and Teal Deer lid to crease and on lower lash line. Rose Gold in crease. Unicorn Breath as highlight and in inner corners. I am still a n00b when it comes to application and descriptions of said application, so hopefully it all makes sense! Also, I'm still working on my photo-taking, so I apologize for the quality...or lack thereof.
In all, I really like ScaredyCat Cosmetics. The Etsy site is well done and professional looking. TAT was excellent. The jars and labels are so cute and were packaged nicely (I did notice that one label was already starting to peel away from the jar in one spot, which is a bummer, but nothing a little super glue can't fix). AND there is a FULL ingredient list on the bottom label of each jar! Yes! The colors are fabulous, apply smoothly and blend well. ScaredyCat Cosmetics is definitely on my "YES!" list. Go check 'em out!
